In line with the orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced a new extended due date for paying the electricity bill to provide relief to consumers, who are upset about the higher power tariff.
PM extends electricity bill payment deadline by 10 days
Last week, PM Shehbaz had directed to extend the date of payment for electricity bills by 10 days. In this regard, the Power Division also issued a notification for all electricity distribution companies.
The relief will be provided on the bill for July and August 2024.
LESCO provides services in five main – Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, and Nankana – of Punjab province. So, all the consumers in the jurisdiction can benefit from an extension of the due date.
He said LESCO has extended the deadline for paying July’s bills by 10 days. He also informed that with this extension, the penalties imposed on consumers have been waived.
