Online Monthly Billing Notification

The modem is installed in the smart meter. Through this, the online bill for the electricity consumed on the last day of the month will be generated and sent to the consumer’s mobile number. There will be no possibility of a wrong bill. There are 3.64 lakh consumers in the city, out of which 1.12 lakh consumers already have smart meters installed. Smart meters will be installed by removing electronic meters.

Smart meters are also being installed in rural areas. Chief Engineer Zone 2 Sunil Kumar Gupta said that the work of installing smart meters is going on in Sardhana Town

Combatting Power Theft with Smart Meter Technology

There are 410 feeders at 51 power substations in the city. From where power is supplied to different localities and areas. Smart meters have been installed on all feeders. Through this, the load is being checked every hour. In areas where line loss is high, these smart meters will be effective in assessing power consumption and the recovery of electricity bills. Not only this, they are also being installed on distribution transformers. So far 183 meters have been installed
